Eissa, it's hard to find the words to respond to your incredibly kind and touching message. With all the grief I've felt the last few weeks I honestly can't imagine what you're feeling after losing so much family, and I'm sure having many more people dear to you still in harm's way. I want you to know I'm thinking about you and your family and my heart breaks for you, I hope you never ever have to lose another person to this terrible war. If you want to share anything about your relatives who were killed I would be honored to learn more about them and keep them in my heart.

Thank you so much for finding room in your heart through all this pain to write this, and to see our pain on this side. To me - this is the only way we get through this. I have been feeling so hopeless and your message brings some precious hope back to me. I want you to know many Israelis are hurting with you, trying to get to a ceasefire, stop this madness, let all of us start healing. We're crying with you every day. It feels that simple sometimes - we all know the price of war, we don't want anyone to pay it, we know it's not worth it. Like you said - we all deserve peace and justice.

Thank you again for writing, I will keep thinking about you and I hope one day we can look back at this exchange and say "Wow, remember those days? Before we had peace? How much grief we had back then, how lucky are we to be where we are today".

Much love,

Yuval
